FROM PORTLAND OR THE SOUTH:
From Portland, go south (or from southern Oregon, go north) on I-5 to exit 289/Sherwood. Go west toward Sherwood on Sherwood Hiway. Drive approx. 4.5 miles, through about 15 stoplights, to Highway 99 in Sherwood. Left on 99. Drive through Newberg and Dundee, to junction of Hiway 18, about 15 miles altogether. The junction is signed and has a flashing orange light. Go left on 18 approx. 1 mile; take the Dayton turnoff. Go into Dayton. Continue through the flashing red light in middle of town for another 300 yards and across a low bridge, then first right onto Palmer Ln. Two and a half blocks, on the right, is Mellinger Pl. (looks like a wide driveway). We are behind the large building, the second of two houses on Mellinger. If there are more than a few cars, park in the wide parking area half way down Mellinger; the owner doesn’t mind.
FROM McMINNVILLE:
Highway 18 towards Newberg. Take the Dayton exit in approx. 8 miles. Go into Dayton. Continue through the flashing red light in the middle of town for another 300 yards and across a low bridge, then turn right onto Palmer Lane. Two-and-a-half blocks on the right is Mellinger Pl. (looks like a wide driveway). We are behind the large building, the second of two houses on Mellinger. If there are more than a few cars, park in the wide parking area
behind the first house on Mellinger; the owner doesn’t mind.
FROM SALEM:
North on Wallace Rd. (Highway 221) in West Salem approx. 22 miles. At the edge of Dayton, watch for a low wooden sign on the right saying “Welcome to Dayton.” Turn left immediately at “Left turn 1/4 mile. Palmer Hourse Restaurant.” Two and a half blocks on the right is Mellinger Pl. (looks like a wide driveway). We are behind the large building, the second of two houses on Mellinger. If there are more than a few cars, park on the wide parking area halfway along Mellinger; the owner doesn’t mind.
